The SYNC Global Digital Wellbeing Reportis an international benchmarking study created by Ithra (King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture). It introduces the Digital Wellbeing Index (DWI), the first attempt to systematically measure how digital technologies affect people’s quality of life across multiple countries. The index covers 35 countries representing different income levels and regions. The report’s main goal is to map the state of digital wellbeing globally, showing where countries are doing well and where they lag. It provides a comparative framework that policymakers, educators, researchers, and industry actors can use to identify strengths and weaknesses in their digital environments, design policies that foster healthier digital ecosystems, and track progress over time in how societies balance the benefits and risks of digital life.
